Welcome to the SDF Blog - SDF Blogger

My motive for starting this blog, is simple.  I believe in disseminating information to anyone who wants to gain more knowledge, in a targeted, focused way.  Knowledge begats power.  Power begats self-esteem. Self-esteem begats more knowledge, and the knowledge cycle begins anew.

The mission of any SDF world wide, is to say the least, dynamic.  Emerging technology/economies/threats, has catapulted us into a world of 'overwhelmingness', that can easily; daze, confuse, stymy and ultimately, impede our personel existance.  Most people are too busy to seive thru ton of emails and websites everyday, looking for a shred of information that may ACTUALLY be of use to them.  My intent is to make this a forum where pertinent information is published, that I think may be of interest to anyone who wants to read it.  It would be more valuable if any of you would like to add to the blog.

This blog will be focused around all things; disaster preparedness, emergency management, self-reliance, survival, safety, security, CBRNE, WMD, medical, military, force protection, terrorism, public health and the like.
It will be (mostly :^) factual and relevent to our times. Free courses , numerous resources/publications as well as products that I feel might be of some use, will be posted.
This is a 'disaster disseminating byway', not a diary of my daily life.  Unless I get deployed to work a disaster, then it will be a 'living history blog'.

My resources are many, unique, and not necessarilly on everyone's radar.  So this will not be like reading the local newspaper, People Magazine, or the National Enquirer. If you want to read them, go to their websites.

Hey don't I know you guys?
Your faces look awfully familiar...
At no time will I publish photos of people's (faces) or mention names on this blog.  I was in the military for over a quarter of a century, playing a part in protecting our citizen's rights and freedoms; therefore, I will not allow anyone to infringe on anyone else's right's.

Any and all postings on this site are purely my own and do not represent any State Defense Force,  National Guard, or any other uniformed service's positions or opinions.

Weekly features thru daily blogs will include:
  • current world disaster related story/updates
  • fress courses (online, classroom, webinars, podcasts etc)
  • conventions, seminars, workshops, summits and training events
  • focus on a specific state defense force somewhere in the world
  • military issues, world wide
  • disaster related articles, laws and legal issues
  • numerous resources and articles for you to peruse
  • products that may be of importance /use

you gotta play to win."
