This 30mins lecture material was part of a training program in domestic preparedness for pharmacists hosted on October 7, 2003 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health and co-sponsored by the UNC Center for Public Health Preparedness, the North Carolina Department of Public Health Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response, and the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy.    

Educational Objectives

  • To recognize and be aware of major biologic warfare agents
  • To recognize exposure to bioterrorist agents
  • To learn pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis and therapy for most likely bioterrorist agents
